PostSubject: tranny fluid???   Tue Sep 16, 2008 4:38 pm

hey what kind of tranny fluid you guys using? i switched from the old honda MTF to GM synchromesh FM and it was like a night and day difference. never knew something so great could come from GM. but i heard this new honda MTF (white cap, green label) is supposed to be even better than GM synchromesh.

any of you guys try it out yet? thinking about going to honda to purchase some sometime soon. wanted your opinions

since u mentioned something great that came from GM, honda owners, B n K alike are adapting the GM racing transmission used on the ECOTEC drag motors to Honda motors. who would have thought?

I use 5W30 only. I used redline 75NS90 when I autocrossed a lot last season, but that shit sucks when it gets cold.

just the basic honda MTF. did some research, its suppsoed to be about 80w90.

according to my drifter friend with a 240, alot of nissan guys seem to be in love with shell spiro s synthetic tranny fluid or something very similiar souding. but i dont know if its yellow metal safe.............
